Week of September 24-28th!!

Hola Parents:

This week we are working on  “Mis Sentidos”. Last week, the Sapitos class made a good job with our Special Activity. Muy bien Sapitos!

We are adding to our vocabulary the next verbs:

To See: ver

To Listen: oir
To Smell: oler
To Touch:tocar
To Taste: probar / like: gustar

Special Activity:

Today Monday you will receive a copy of a silhouette in which you can paste a picture, write, draw, paint, etc. The idea is to talk about things that your child and your family like; the topics are “Mi cuerpo” and “Mis sentidos”. We encourage you to use all the new vocabulary we have learned these past weeks. Due date is Friday September 28^th.

This week we will make pineapple jello; and children will use their senses as smelling, touching, seeing (color) and tasting to decide if they like it or not.

Sammy will begin visiting homes this week; Sammy will also help us enforce our classroom rules that mean that the child who gets more stars during the week is going to have Sammy home for one whole week. Don’t worry if Sammy takes time to visit your home! We will encourage all children to have more stars by following our classroom rules.
Remember Sammy travels every Monday and we need him back by the following Monday, no exceptions! However, we will remind you the Friday before.
This week Sammy is visiting Anita’s home. Have fun!

Friday is special for all of us! We want to make it more special allowing our Sapitos to bring a toy. Please remember is on Fridays only. Thank you!

Please check your cubby’s child to make sure he/she has weather appropriate clothes for this fall (pants, jackets and socks).  Also make sure your child’s belongings are labeled. Thank you!

Next week our “Student of the Week” activity kicks off. Remember to let us know when you are coming (1 or 2 days before). First in our list is Xavier Diaz. Congratulations.
