Theme of the Month/Week (Tema del Mes/Semana): “My Body /Mi Cuerpo”
The first two weeks of September we are going to talk and learn
everything about “My Body” and we are going to do some personal hygiene
practices.

Our Student of the Week is Kieran
Manfre, the Sapitos are so excited to know everything about him.
Welcome to Hazel Hill, she
has adapted very quickly to our routine. The Sapitos are very happy to have her
as part of the group.
Remainders (Recordatorios a los Padres de
Familia):
The weather is changing, so please bring a cozy blanket for your child.
Monday: Please
send a mirror with your child.
Thursday:
We will made oatmeal cookies with raisins, yummy!!!
Friday: PAJAMA
DAY: The first Friday of every month we will have “PJ Day”. Please send your child wearing pajamas this next Friday 6,
and also send a toothbrush and toothpaste in a plastic bag, labeled with your
child’s name, to practice oral hygiene
Homework this week (Tarea de esta semana):
The homework for this week is: standing up in front of a mirror with
your child, ask him/her to point and name the body parts in Spanish.
All Art
together: Our first family art project is “All About Me”. You will have 2 weeks to
work on it with your child. Be as much creative as you can.
Book Worm
Club: Reading to your child helps him/her develop communication, social and
cognitive skills. This week we will give you a special form to fill out the
name of the books you are reading with your child.

Monday 2nd:
LABOR DAY, School is closed.
Thank you to our wonderful parents who have signed up as volunteers. We
are still in need for more volunteers for our activities, please take a moment
to check and sign up the sheet that is outside the classroom.
Special thanks to Alissa Manfre,
who is sharing with us her cooking ideas and recipes to make yummy cookies and
desserts with the Sapitos. If any other parents would like to give us their
“secrets”, we will appreciate it very much.
Also, thanks to Juanita Hill,
who have donated a lot of books for our classrooms!
