Theme of the Month: Art Fair (Feria de Arte)

Salutation and highlights of week (Saludo y resumen de las actividades importantes de la semana):

Hello Sapitos Parents: This month our sapitos have been learning a lot about the plants, how they grow, its parts, the four elements that they need to grow, and the benefits in the human life. We also, have been fostering in our children the sense of responsibility for the caring of and protection of our environment.

Art has always played a central role in the education and development of young children. Painting, drawing, and other art activities enhance other areas of development, including perception, fine motor skills, language, and social interaction.

For this reason, this week we will have our Art Fair. The gallery will be set in the lobby with your children’s masterpieces. Don’t miss it! And also, our Sapitos will appreciate the world’s greatest works of art by the following artists: Monet, Degas, Pollock, Van Gogh.  The art displays will be accompanied by memorable and moving classical music in “THE ART SHOW”.

Our pet Sammy the frog was traveling a lot, he feels so exhausted for the love and attention that he had received from the sapitos. Because of this, he would like to take a break this week. He will return to his activities the first week of March.

Friendly Reminders:  

·        Don’t miss our Art Fair, and please congratulate your child for the great effort in his/her art job.  

·        Connect your child to art in the community. If you have the time, go to nearby museums and art galleries, visit artists in their studios, and then provide your child with the kinds of materials and tools used by the artists he/she sees.
