Week of (Semana de): September 21st-25th .

Theme of the Week (Tema De la Semana): “Como crecemos.”

Dear Sapitos Parents,
I hope you have had a good week. This week the children will continue learning about how we grow. We will talk about why healthy food is important for the growth of their bodies. To follow up, children will be further motivated by preparing a fruit salad by themselves. In addition, they will pretend to go to a supermarket and shop just as mommy or daddy do!  

We would like to have your support for our activities this week:

·         Please bring a store paper bag on Monday.

·         Bring your child’s favorite fruit on Thursday. Make sure to put it in a Ziploc bag and label it with your child’s name. We will have a special Fruit Salad activity!

·         For our Friday Special Activity: “Spanish for fun! Supermarket” help us by bringing any recyclable materials. Empty milk and juice containers, cookies, eggs boxes, etc. So we can set up our own pretend supermarket. You can start bringing them on Monday.

Friendly Reminders:

Our Sapitos are doing a great job acquiring new skills and we are so proud of all of them! Therefore, we want to encourage all our parents to keep working with them in the following assignments that will help them to develop their independency through increasing their vocabulary.  This will give them the ability to express their emotions or feelings using their words,

·         Read a book to your child every day for 10 to 15 minutes. (it will help them to increase their attention span and vocabulary)

·         Encourage your child to use their words instead crying to express their feelings and/or emotions.

·         Let your child help with simple things at home, they will become more independent.

·         Help your child to identify their name.

·         Motivate your child to count from 1-20

We need your help!
On Friday September 25th we will have special activity where our children will pretend going shopping to the supermarket. We will decorate our lobby as a supermarket and we need your help! You can help us with this activity by sending: Cereal boxes, juices bottles, milk cartons, etc

Picture Day: Thursday September 24th
Make sure to send your child's dress up for Fall pictures and to send his/her Sff! uniform shirt because we will taking also Yearbook pictures. Children you do not attend on Thursday, are welcome to come that morning.
