Theme of the Month/Week (Tema Del Mes/ Semana): “Medios de comunicación” “Communication media”

Hellos Sapitos parents, I hope you have had a good week end. For this next week we will talk about “The Media.” Children will learn  the function of each form. They will distinguish which ones are used at home and which ones are used at school. Also, they will make an art piece of their favorite. In addition, we will have an art project about Martin Luther King Jr. Children will learn about his dream and how he can motivate others with his example of perseverance.

We have started a new year in which children will continue learning and developing new skills so it is important that you help us at home by encouraging them to come to school to have fun and learn as well. They depend on us to make their stay enjoyable. The transition time should not be too difficult. As teachers, we are in the best position to help our parents but it is important that you follow the steps below to help your child at time of separation in the morning. This is only done with the purpose of keeping our routine in class every day. We are sure that we have your support and thank you very much in advance.

Steps for transition:

·         Ask your child to show you what they need to do when arrives at the classroom.

·         Congratulate as soon your child walk to do it please don’t wait until they are done.

·         Remind them that their stay at school is because there is much fun and learning appropriate for them.

·         Please do not use words that make your child sad because you have to leave them. Children perceive our emotions by the way we talk to them.

Friendly Reminders:

·         Please make sure your child wash his/her hands when he/she arrives at the classroom.

·         Please bring extra clothes and blanket for your child.

·         Please read your child’s journal every day that way you can know what your child is learning during our activities and you can support them at home.

·         Please make sure your child is not taking school toys home.

·         Please no toys allowed unless the teacher authorizes so.
