The Animal Kingdom

Dear Sapitos Parents,

We hope you had a great weekend! We are excited to start a new theme this month called “The Animal Kingdom”. We will learn about animals, their habitats and the food they need to survive.  Children will be able to identify wild and endangered animals. We will also encourage children to respect and care for animals.

We have planned fun learning activities such as arts and crafts. Children will paint with tempera a wild animal and create an artistic work of their favorite animals. They will also play and imitate animal sounds.

Developmental  Objectives of the Week

Cognitive – Ability to recognize animals characteristics, habitats and behaviors.

Physical - Ability to  catch a ball.

Language - Ability to responds to what, how, why and what for questions.

Social - Ability to work in teams and groups.

Special Events, Welcome and Birthdays

Our pet “Sammy” will travel this week to Nadia’s house. He is excited to spend time playing with her. Nadia, we will look forward to seeing your pictures with Sammy.

Miss Sandra and I cordially invite all our moms and grandmothers to join us in the classroom on Friday, May 6th at 9:15 am to celebrate Mother’s Day. We will be offering a delicious continental breakfast. Also, children have prepared a beautiful surprise for all of you. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask Miss Sandra or myself. We are excited see you here.

Friendly Reminders

●       Bring extra clothes and blanket for your child.

●       Take home all art works that are in your child’s cubby

●       Do not bring your child’s toys since they are not allowed in the classroom.
