Week of July 18th-22nd

Classroom: Sapitos
Blog Title: Summer Camp
Week: July 18th to July 22nd, 2016
Weekly Featured Theme: Little Scientists

🔠 What are we learning?

Dear Sapitos Parents,
We would like to thank you once again for all your support and for letting us play such an important role in your child’s life.

This week we will learn to be little scientists. We will continue creating safe learning environments that offer the children the opportunity to explore and experiment with science. Children will learn to observe objects with magnifiers, mix colors and work on an experiment.

We will be scheduling the following fun learning activities so children can enjoy contact with science and continue strengthening motor, language and cognitive-sensory skills.

Best Regards,
Miss Sandra & Miss Silvia

📄 Materials for Special Projects/Activities
Have your child wear swimsuit, splashers or swim diapers and water shoes for Splash Day. Bring a towel and a plastic bag for wet items. Pack all these items in a tote bag for your child. We recommend to label the bag, swimsuit, towel and shoes with your child’s name.
Bring recycled boxes and plastic bottles for art projects in the classroom.

🔆 Friendly Reminders
Make sure your child has extra sets of clothing in her/his cubby.
Sunscreen and mosquito repellant are important to protect your child because he/she is very susceptible to sunburn/mosquito bites. Yet applying sunscreen and mosquito repellent to your child requires planning. If sunscreen and mosquito repellent must be applied to your child, make sure to fill out an administration or authorization form specifying when sunscreen and mosquito repellant should be applied and be sure to supply the sunscreen and mosquito repellant, label the bottles with your child's name and place them in a ziploc bag.
Apply sunscreen to your child at home in the morning. Sunscreen will be applied to your child in the afternoons.
Take home your child projects from the cubby.
