Week of February 6 - 10

Dear Sapitos Parents
 
This week we begin working the theme “The Vegetable Kingdom”- 

El Reino Vegetal; and we will learn about the plants and its parts, 

we will also learn how to take care of them, and what elements must

be present for them to grow, we will have fun exploring our 

playground and observing the plants in our classroom.
We will be working the number six-seis and writing our names in our
notebooks. We will be working on a special art project for

Valentine’s Day too.
 
The words we will learn this week are:
Las plantas-The plants
Las flores-The flowers
La semilla- The seed
El Tallo-The stem
Las raices- The roots
Las hojas-The leaves
El Corazon-the heart
Compartir- To share
 
Special events coming up:
Next Tuesday is Valentine’s Day and we will have tons of 

fun celebrating it in our classroom, we have a signup sheet at

our door if you would like to bring something to share. We will

continue working through next week the meaning of the word “Sharing”.
 
Please remember to take home your child’s blanket every Friday

and to bring it back fresh and clean every Monday. Thank you. 
Thank you for your book donations for our Sapitos class library. 

We are very happy with the new additions. 
Last day of Scholastic Book Fair is Friday February 10th.
