Week of March 5-9th!!!

Dear Sapitos Parents:

Our Theme of the Month is: ¨The Animal Kingdom¨
This is our children’s favorite theme  El Reino Animal.
It will be a month full of learning about sea animals, wildlife, insects, and more.
Children will have the opportunity to cut, color, paint, or draw their favorite animal.
On March 27th is Pet Day and they may bring their pet to the school.
This month we will also work the number seven; we will review the vowels and we will keep practicing writing our names.
This week we will focus on sea animals, their habitat and their characteristics. I encourage you talking to your kids about sea animals, reading books or watching a movie. “Dolphin Tale” is highly recommended.
Words of the week:

 The shark – El tiburon
 The dolphin – El delfin
 The sea horse – El caballo de mar
 The starfish – La estrella de mar
 The whale – La ballena
 The fish – El pez
 The octopus – El pulpo
 The turtle – La Tortuga

On Friday March 9th your child may bring to class his/her favorite sea animal ( a toy, not very big please) to show and tell, please help your kid to be prepare to talk about the animal he/she is bringing. He/ she will need to say the animal´s name, color, habitat, food or some special feature about him.
Last week, report cards went home, please take the time to review and read the comment I added, if you have any questions feel free to write your name on the parent-teacher sign up list for a meeting.
