Theme of the Month/Week (Tema del Mes/Semana): “The Universe and Me/El Universo y Yo”

We continue talking about the plants. This week the Sapitos will learn the process of Photosynthesis. This will be an interactive experience where everybody will have the opportunity to participate.

New words/palabras nuevas: Photosynthesis/fotosintesis, sun/sol, water/agua. air/aire, land/tierra,, to grow/crecer, the garden/el jardin, the seasons/las estaciones.

Shapes/figuras geometricas: Oval/ovalo, Diamond/rombo

Numbers/numeros: 1-20

Sammy had a blast with Kieran and Clayton, and their families. This week is Gabriel‘s turn. We will see next week how they had fun together.

Friendly Remainders (Recordatorios a los Padres de Familia):

Our circle time is a time when our students come together as a community of learners. As a community, we share our thoughts, listen to one another, actively participate together, introduce new concepts and ideas, read together, sing together, and build a sense of respect and support for one another. This is a very important activity for our children’s development (cognitive, social-emotional, language) Please try to be on time so your child won’t miss this activity. We will appreciate your support.

Dear Parents: Please leave only the necessary stuff (one complete set of extra clothes, one jacket, one hat, one pair of gloves and a blanket) in your child’s cubby. Thank you.

Please, don’t forget to fill out the signup sheet for the Valentine’s party.

Homework these weeks (Tarea de estas semanas):

We already sent home the template for the All Art Together project for this month. You will have this weekend to work on it with your child, and bring it back by Monday 10^th to decorate our wall with beautiful flowers.

Please help your child to reinforce at home the numbers 1 to 20 (recognition) and the letters Aa, Ee, Ii in words that begin with these letters (in Spanish) like: avion, arbol, ardilla, agua, aire, escalera, estrella, elefante, esfera, enano, indio, iglesia, iguana

Thank you to Chelsea Bartel, who generously has donated a beautiful plant for the Sapitos Classroom. The children are watering and taking good care of it.

Important:
We would like to welcome Ms. Maria Fernanda Cuencas, teacher at Sff! Wake Forest, who is going to be covering Ms Amparo until Feb. 24th for her vacations. Ms Amparo enjoy your trip! Sapitos and all Sff! is going to miss you !!!
