Week of (Semana de): March 3^rd  – March 7^th   

Theme of the Month/Week (Tema del Mes/Semana): “The Animal Kingdom /El Reino Animal”

This week we will learn everything about wild animals, their habitat, what they eat, how they grow and what kind of sounds they make.

We will also learn: New words/palabras nuevas: big/grande, small/pequeno, strong/fuerte, wild/salvaje, dangerous/peligroso, roar/rugir, jump/saltar, swim/nadar.

Numbers/numeros: We will continue counting and recognizing numbers 1-20 and the vowels.

Special events this week/Welcome/Birthdays (Eventos especiales esta semana/Bienvenida/Cumpleanos):

Sammy will go to Corinne’s house. He is very happy to spend time with her and her family. Have fun!.

Friendly Remainders (Recordatorios a los Padres de Familia):

This week will be sending home the Report Cards, please make sure to read the assessment, sign up and return it to the teachers. We will post a sheet for the Parent/Teacher conference outside the classroom.

Friday 7^th is Pajama Day, remember that this day your child can bring his/her favorite toy or book to share with his/her friends.

Homework these weeks (Tarea de estas semanas):

Monday: Send a wild animal toy or stuffed wild animal, like a bear, lion, elephant, zebra, jiraffe, cheetah, hippopotamus, bald eagle, monkey, tiger, wolf, rhinoceros, to help your child learn the chaRACTERISTICS OF THESE ANIMALS..

Help your child to reinforce at home the numbers 1 to 20 (recognition) and the vowels Aa, Ee, Ii, Oo, Uu, in words that begin with these letters (in Spanish)
