Week of May 12th -16th !!!

Theme of the Month/Week (Tema del Mest/Semana): “How things work /Como funcionan las cosas”

The school year is almost over, we have less than a month left, and our Sapitos have grown a lot, physically, cognitivelly, socially and emotionally. They have learned new things and acquired so many skills that allow them now to be independent and self-confident. We, as their teachers are very proud of all of them. We also have to recognize the effort of our wonderful parents, who have supported our job working with their children at home, without your help we couldn’t do this.

This week our Sapitos will develop their curiosity through observation, exploration and investigation, they will learn how different things work, like how cars, trains and boats can move, planes can fly, a see-saw can go up and down, a ball can bounce, people can communicate each other, and so on.    

Special events this week/Welcome/Birthdays (Eventos especiales esta semana/Bienvenida/Cumpleanos)

Sammy will be visiting Monica’s house this week and he must be a good listener, because she is de boss.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our big boys: GABRIEL, who will turn four on Sunday 11, and SIMON, who will turn four on Sunday 18.

Friendly Remainders (Recordatorios  a los Padres de Familia):

As you know, we are going to have another field-trip. Your children will be visiting the Airport. Please reinforce at home safety rules for this trip, and don’t forget to return the slip permission form by Friday 16^th to let us know if your child is going to participate.

Homework these weeks (Tearea de estas semanas):

We will make a car, a train, a see-saw, an airplane and a telephone, with recycle material. We also will watch some videos about Sid the Science Kid.

Thank you to all our wonderful Moms, Grandmas and Daddys for coming to our classroom last Friday, and celebrate with us a special Mother’s Day.

Thank you to Jim Ebert (Marisa’s Grandpa) who help us to prepare the gift for Mom (burn DVDs). We appreciate your generosity.
