Theme of the week: “Mi comunidad y yo /My community and I”

Hello Sapitos Parents, I hope you have had a great weekend! For this next week the theme is “My Community and Me” (Mi Comunidad y yo.) We will talk about the people who serve our community. Children will learn to name the person and identify the job they do. They’ll also learn more about solidarity by understanding how these civil jobs help others. In addition, a police officer will visit on Thursday along with a Fireman on Friday. The children will be able to see their suit, how it protects them, and they will be able to get on the fire truck and look inside! What an exciting experience for them!

Logan’s dad will come and visit us this week to talk about his job. If you would like to come and share your career or job with the children, this is a great opportunity to contribute to their understanding. Please do not hesitate to ask the teachers to schedule a visit.

Special Events, Welcome and Birthdays (Eventos especiales, Bienvenidas y Estudiante de la Semana.

We are very excited to have Kayla Dwight as the student of week. We are sure we will enjoy her parents’ visit to our class.

Friendly Reminders:

Please
·         Make sure your child washes their hand when they arrive in the classroom.
·         Take your child’s blanket home every Friday to wash it.
·         Make sure your child has extra clothes and a jacket or sweater.
·         Help children to say their full name. (This is one of the objectives for this semester.)
·         Motivate your child to count from 1-20.

We want to thank all our parents for supporting our activities and for the great job working in your child’s homework at home. Your effort is making wonderful a progress in children at the class.

 Important Upcoming Dates:

·         November 9^th: Report Cards will be sent home.

·         November 18^th: Parent-Teacher conferences to talk about your child’s report cards, their achievements, and needs, if any.  The signup sheet will be posted outside of the class. Please take a moment to sign-up and choose your best time.

·         November 25^th: Thanksgiving Celebration, we will be sharing a special morning snack in our classroom. Parents are encouraged to bring a dish to share during our morning snack at 9:00 am. Signup sheet will be posted on Monday, the 16^th.

·         November 26^th – 27^th: School closed.
