What are we learning?
Dear Sapitos Parents,
We would like to thank you
once again for all your support and for letting us play such an important role
in your childβs life.
We are getting down to the
last few weeks of Summer Camp! This week we will learn to be Little Athletes. We will continue creating
safe learning environments that offer the children the opportunity to explore
sports. We have scheduled exciting learning activities that will allow us to
continue strengthening motor, cognitive-sensory and language skills. One of
them is the Olympics Parade at Sff! Children should wear sports clothes for the
parade. They will also participate in competitions with Monitos and Ositos and
on Friday, they will have so much fun on our Trike-a -thon. We will also create
their own Olympic Torch from recycled material.
Best regards,
Miss Silvia and Miss
Sandra

Materials for Special Projects/Activities
β
Have your child wear swimsuit, splashers or swim diapers and
water shoes for Splash Day. Bring a towel and a plastic bag for wet items. Pack
all these items in a tote bag for your child. We recommend to label the bag,
swimsuit, towel and shoes with your childβs name.
β
Have your child wear a t-shirt of their favorite sports team on
Monday.
β
Have your child dressed like an Athlete on Tuesday. They can be
tennis players, swimmers, soccer players, etc.
β
Have your child wear a green t-shirt for the activity on
Thursday.
β
Bring your childβs bike, bike helmet and kneepads labeled with
his/her name on Friday.
π
Friendly Reminders
β
Make sure your child has extra sets of clothing in her/his
cubby.
β
Sunscreen and mosquito repellant are important to protect your
child because he/she is very susceptible to sunburn/mosquito bites. Yet
applying sunscreen and mosquito repellent to your child requires planning. If
sunscreen and mosquito repellent must be applied to your child, make sure to
fill out an administration or authorization form specifying when sunscreen and
mosquito repellant should be applied and be sure to supply the sunscreen and
mosquito repellant, label the bottles with your child's name and place them in
a ziploc bag.
β
Apply sunscreen to your child at home in the morning. Sunscreen
will be applied to your child in the afternoons.
β
Take home your child projects from the cubby.
