Week of June 22nd-26th

Sapitos Class
Miss Silvia & Miss Amparo
Week of (Semana de): June 22nd-26th
Theme of the week: ”We go Camping”

Dear Sapitos Parents,
This week we have planned a camping day. We will discuss, and make a list of, all the things that we need to do. Also, we will create and design some of the things and/or animals that we can see, such as: binoculars, sunglasses, snakes, bears, alligators, insects, and a pretend bonfire (using paper and sticks). Finally, we will have our camping day on Friday outside of the school! We will have games, music, and drink delicious lemonade for this celebration.

We will need two things from you parents:

1) A shelter (tent), if you have one, which can be brought and installed in the back of our room.  This would be great for us!
2) Pictures! If you have camped once, and have pictures of that experience, please bring them. We would like every child to talk about them.

At home, you can have various actitivies, including: camping out in your yard, making games that can encourage development of his/her motor skills, or assigning some tasks that can be accomplished by pretending.  Having this experience in their own house can be very fun for children.

Friendly Reminders:
·         Please make sure your child has extra clothes in her/his cubby.
·         Please take your child’s blanket home every Friday to wash it.
·         Please take your child’s art work which is in his/her cubby every day.
·         Please apply sunscreen to your child in the morning before he/she arrives at school. We will re-apply it in the afternoon! Muchas gracias for your cooperation!

Important Upcoming Dates:
Friday July 3th - School is closed

Thank you notes:
Thank you so much for always being part of our activities for our wonderful children!

Have a great weekend!
