Week of (Semana de): July 27th-31st

Theme of the Week (Tema De la Semana): “Princess and Knights”

                                                                                                                 

Dear Sapitos Parents,

We continue having fun with our summer activities! For this week we will talk about “Princesses and Knights.” The children will enjoy creating their own themed items, including: crowns, bracelets, shields, swords, and castles! Also, they will practice math skills using gems and dragons.

In addition, we will have the Princesses and Knights dance on Friday! All children are invited to join this dance wearing a princess or knight costume! (If you have a girl and don’t have a princess costume, please let me know I have a couple beautiful dresses for the dance)

At home, you can make a puppet show encouraging your child to behave as a princess or a knight. You can make the puppets using paper bags. Provide many kind of accessories and let your child design however they imagine!

Recyclable Materials Needed This Week:

Please if you have lids of any size or fabric scraps, you can start bringing them on Monday. Muchas gracias!

Friendly Reminders:

·         Remember, toys are not allowed in the classroom, unless the teachers ask for them for a special activities that are announced in the blog.

·         Ms. Amparo will be out next week for vacations. Ms. Sandra Quijada, our center floater, will be helping us with our Sapitos next week as well.

 

Upcoming Important Events:

·         Friday August 14th: Last day of Summer Camp. Early Release at 12:30pm

·         Monday August 17^th: Sff! Closed. Teacher Workday

·         Tuesday August 18^th: First day of School Year 2015-2016
