Theme of the Week: “The Circus”
Week of August 3th – August 7th
Dear Sapitos Parents,
After two weeks spending a wonderful time with my family, on vacation while
missing my Sapitos, I am back to continue with our summer camp activities. This
week we will have a Circus theme. Our Sapitos will create their own circus tent
and clown costumes. They will play games like “put the nose on the clown.” They
will also have a theater show with finger puppets magicians and make a clown
puppet to use on Friday when The Circus arrives at Sff!
Tips:
At home, this could be a great family time, sharing memories with your
child about your first experience going to the circus. Maybe you can pretend to
be a circus performer (Ringmaster, acrobat, tightrope walker, tamer, etc.) and
encourage your child to follow you having fun together.
The first week of August is National
Stop on Red Week. Take advantage of this occasion by talking to your child
about some safety rules, like why it’s so important to wear a helmet when
riding a bike on the street, or how he/she must buckle up immediately when
getting into the car.
Star Words of the Week (Palabras estrellas de la
semana):
The Circus (El circo)
The clown (El payaso)
The magician (El mago)
The tamer (El domador)
