Sff! Olympic Games/Los Juegos Olimpicos de Sff! 

 Dear Sapitos Parents:

We can’t believe that our Summer Camp is over, and the new school year is just around the corner. We hope that you have taken advantage of this summer time, sharing special moments with your family and friends. We have spent a great time at school with your children, they have enjoyed each and every activity that we have developed in these eight weeks of a successful summer camp, and we still have one more. Our expectations during this time have been fulfilled!

This is going to be a week unlike any other - an Olympic week! During this week our Sapitos will participate in different activities that will end in an Olympic ceremony on Friday. They will prepare an banner, an torch, a medal, and practice sports.

Our Sapitos will also participate in a Trike-a-Thon, an activity to help the children of St. Jude’s Hospital. For this event they will review some safety rules during the week. We invite you to bring your child’s tricycle and helmet on Thursday. 

Tips:
At home you can practice your favorite sport with your child in the backyard or, if you prefer, you can go to the park, and why not to the lake. You can also make some art activities together like a collage with the Olympic colors or just have same relaxing time watching the last Olympic Games and explaining your child the rules of each sport.

Special Events, Welcome and Birthdays (Eventos especiales, Bienvenidas y Estudiante de la Semana):

This week our special events are:
Tuesday and Thursday: Splash Day
Tuesday: Dress up as an athlete
Thursday:  St. Jude Trike-a-thon. Bring your child’s tricycle and helmet.

Friday: Sff! Olympic Games. Bring your child wearing a Green T-shirt

Friendly Reminders: 
·         Don’t forget Sff! will be closing at 12:30 on Friday August 14^th.
·         Don’t forget to pick up all your child’s belonging from his/her cubby, we need to get them ready for the new school year.

Important Upcoming Dates:
August 12^th: Meet and Greet with Parents at 6.30 pm
August 13^th: St. JUDE Trike-a-thon. Send your child with his/ her bicycle or tricycle and don’t forget the helmet.
August 14^th: Last day of Summer Camp. Early release at 12.30 pm
August 17^th: Teacher’s work day. School is CLOSED
August 18^th: First day of school year 2015-2016
