Week of November 16^th – November 20^th

Theme of the week: “Transportation helpers”

Dear Sapitos Parents,

I hope you have had a great weekend! Children are having fun and learning about the theme of this month. This week, we will talk about “Transportation Helpers.” Children will identify different forms of transportation in our community, like: an ambulance, helicopter, airplane, construction car, or taxi. To excite things, we will pretend to travel to different cities. We will fly in an airplane and follow the procedure that airports have for boarding. They will also learn how successful transportation, like the ambulance, works in our community. In addition, they will create art showing their favorite transportation.

The Christmas event is at the corner! Children have started to practice for their performance. The song that they will dance for this event is: “Llego la Navidad” the singer’s name is: “Luis Miguel”, please take the time to listen the song on YouTube as much as you can so your child can learn with the music and lyrics.

Special Events, Welcome and Birthdays (Eventos especiales, Bienvenidas y Estudiante de la Semana.

We are very excited to have Glenn Wright as the student of week. We are sure we will enjoy her mother/father visit at our class.

November 20th: Parent-Teacher conferences to talk about your child’s report cards, their achievements, and needs, if any.  The signup sheet will be posted outside of the class.  Please take a moment to sign-up and choose your best time.

Upcoming Events:

• November 16th-17th: We are so happy to have our book fair for two more days. Please stop by our lobby to see our Class wish list.

·         November 20^th: Parent- Teacher Conferences

·         November 20^th: Parent’s night out. From 6-9 pm.

·         November 25^th- Thanksgiving Celebration. We would like to invite families to come and share a special morning in our classroom. Please sign up the sheet that it is on the wall out of the classroom if you would like to participate bringing a dish. It will start at 10:00 am.

·         November 26-27- School is closed.

·         December 16- Holiday party.

Friendly Reminders:

• Please make sure your child has extra clothes in her/his cubby.

·         Make sure to wash your child’s hand as they enter the classroom.

·         Take your child’s blanket every Friday to wash it.

·         Take your child’s notebook on Friday and bring it back on Monday.
