Theme of the Week (Tema de la Semana): “My Country”
Hola Sapitos Parents,
We are beginning
the third and last trimester of the Sapitos class, it's amazing what we have
developed and achieved in our class! The theme that we began this week is about
the United States. Our main objective is for the children to develop a sense of
belonging and identity with their country, love and value their country since
childhood. During this week we will study about the USA history, geographic
location on the globe, natural, cultural wealth, symbols, and finally
representatives and authorities.
At home you can help us, talk to your child about the United States history,
share experiences about special celebrations in the country, tourist places,
also chat and / or display any state in the country that you like visiting
family, among others. Tuesday March 1 we will make a collage on natural
resources: vegetation, fauna and climate, we would need your child’s help by
bringing us a photograph of newspaper or magazine on the subject.
Our objectives by areas this week are:
Socio-emotional: Recognizes and values the country
where he/she lives.
Cognitive: Expresses his/her ideas and experiences
with spontaneity.
Physical Development: Walks on curve or circular lines
without losing balance..
Language: Lists characteristics of the country where
he/she lives.
