Theme of the Week (Tema de la Semana): “People and music around Latin America”

 

Hola Sapitos Parents,

This week we continue to work with Latin American countries, their histories, and stories of Latin America. We will make art with homemade dough and make musical instruments typical of Venezuela and Mexico. In addition to other activities that promote the value of teamwork and respect and enjoyment from other cultures. This week we will enjoy the Latin party. For several weeks our children have practiced the dance that you will enjoy next Thursday. We hope you can attend because we are very happy to share with you the Latin culture.

Our objectives by areas this week are:

Socio-emotional: Mentions his/her whole name.

Cognitive: Expresses his/her ideas and experiences with spontaneity.

Physical Development: Molds Play-dough.

Language: Lists costumes and traditions of other countries.

This week our Traveling Pet “Sammy” will visit Oliver’s house. He is so excited to have fun with Oliver and his family.

Friendly Reminders:

·         Please when you drop off your child take the time to do an appropriate transition.

·         Please bring extra clothes and a blanket for your child.

·         Please read your child’s journal every day, that way you can know what your child is learning during activities and you can support them at home.

·         Please no toys allowed unless the teacher authorizes so.
