Week of (Semana del) April – 11-15th

Theme of the Week (Tema de la Semana): “Growth and function of plants”

Hola Sapitos Parents,

This week the children will learn about the growth and function of plants.  This interesting subject will stimulate the child’s mind to learn more about their natural environment, how plants grow and develop and how we care for them. On Friday we will do our germination experiment with a disposable cup, cotton and beans.

At home you can help us by talking with your child about the importance of caring for plants and flowers as well as showing the plants you have at home and the proper way to water the plants so they can grow healthy and strong.

Our objectives by areas this week are:

Social-emotional: Tell  his/her age.

Cognitive: Name different objects in Spanish and know their function.

Physical Development: Jump on one foot.

Language: Communicates simple messages.

                                       

Special Events, Welcome and Birthdays (Eventos especiales, Bienvenidas y viaje de la mascota)

This week our Traveling Pet “Sammy” will visit Ibai’s house. He is so excited to have fun with Ibai and his family.

Friendly Reminders

1.    Take time to do a proper transition when you drop off your child.
2.    Bring extra clothes and a blanket for your child.
3.    Read your child’s journal every day.

4.    No toys are allowed unless the teacher authorizes so.
