Week of: January 12th – January 16th
Theme of the Week - :"The wild animals"

Salutation and highlights of week:
Hello Dear Parents!
The New Year is a wonderful time for setting goals, reflecting, looking ahead, and making some resolutions! If you haven't made a resolution yet, it's not too late! We already have set ours: To provide our Sapitos with the most wonderful and appropriate learning experiences in 2015.

Our Sapitos are learning a lot about animals, how they live, what they eat, and the benefits they provide to us. This week we are very excited to teach our children about the wild animals and their habitat. We will have fun going on a safari through the jungle that we will recreate in our classroom.

On Friday, our children will have a special activity to celebrate the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr. Through this activity they will be connected to an important historic event. They will have the opportunity to express “Their Dreams” as well as understand and respect the differences in people.

The learning activities this week will help our children reinforce math concepts like big, wide, long, and tall. This will also help them to develop their cognitive, linguistic, and social/emotional skills.

Song of the Week (Cancion de la semana):
CANCION ANIMALES DE LA SELVA
Los animales que hay en la selva,
Tú los vas repetir,
Algunos gordos otros muy altos
Igual nos vamos a divertir.
El elefante que está muy grande
Y la jirafa que alta es
Y el monito que salta y salta
El cocodrilo… me va a morder
Los animales……..
Es un león que esta enojón
Es la serpiente que es muy decente
Y la tortuga come lechuga
Y el ratón (donde está el ratón?)
Ya se escondió.
Los animales…….

Poem of the week 2/Poesia 2
Un elefante no es elegante
No usa sombrero
Corbata ni guantes
La trompa muy larga
La panza gigante
Las patas muy gruesas
Y las orejas  muy grandes

Riddles 2/Adivinanza 2
Soy verde
Me gusta saltar
Jugar en el charco
Y también croar
     El sapo.

Esta con hipo
Quien le quita el hipo
Al hipopótamo hipo
