Week of January 26th-30th

Sapitos Classroom
Miss Amparo and Miss Silvia
Week of January 26th – January 30th
Theme of the Week “Endangered animals” “Animales en peligro de extinction”

Hello Dear Parents,
This week we will finish our theme, talking about some of the endangered, vulnerable, and threatened species on the planet. We will also see some insects and reptiles. As we read stories about these animals, we will teach the children why we should care for these endangered species and their habitats. We are also preparing for our next field trip. Our Sapitos will learn safety rules for this great event.

We would like to share some thoughts with you regarding our Sapitos. Children at this age learn to master the concepts of self-awareness, independence, and self-control which lead them to Autonomy. This concept is at the top of the list of democratic life skills and is the primary goal in a preschool classroom. A companion goal is to guide children in the use of conflict management, the ability to think intelligently and ethically in order to prevent and, when necessary, peaceably resolve conflicts. To reach these goals, we need your help and support, we believe that parent-teacher collaboration is a hallmark of successful education. Please don’t hesitate to talk to us if you have any question or concern regarding your child’s development. And also, we are always very grateful to have your opinions and suggestions to improve our job.

Song of the Month/Week (Cancion del mes/semana):

CANCION LAS FIGURAS GEOMETRICAS
Cuando tú miras alrededor
Muchas formas vas a encontrar
Muchas formas vas a encontrar
Son las figuras que vas a aprender
Y ahora tu dedito las hará….
Circulo………(sonido) triangulo….(sonido)
Rectángulo (sonido) cuadrado (sonido).(x3)
