Sapitos Classroom
Miss Silvia, Miss Amparo
Week of March 30th- April 3rd
Theme of the Week: “My culture and traditions” (Mi cultura y tradiciones)
Hello Sapitos parents:
I hope you had a great week!
For this week we will continue talking about cultures and traditions. We are so thankful and proud to have the opportunity to talk about our countries! This week we will be learning more about Mexico! We will learn more about the well-known Mexican food, music, and traditions! I will dance for our Sapitos - a classic folklore dance – dressing in a traditional suit to show them my roots. We will also try cheese quesadillas with homemade corn tortillas and beans, with fresh cheese, tamales (vegetarian and chicken.) We will watch a TV show for children and families which has been popular for more than 50 years, not only in Mexico, where was created, but in all of Latin-America. Of course, Mariachi music cannot be skipped, we will listen to and watch music played by mariachi. We will have our Easter celebration on Thursday as well. We will also take pictures with the Easter bunny. Therefore, please bring your child’s basket. This is an exciting week which offers much fun for teachers and children!
