Week of June 1^st - June 5^th

Hello Sapitos Parents,
Two more weeks and the school year will be over. The time flew by this year, but it surely was amazing to watch our Sapitos learn and grow. Our memories will be full of wonderful moments with them. We won’t forget any event, any smile, any hug, or any tear.
 
This week we will be talking about the universe, focusing in the sun, moon, and stars. We will use visual representations to help them understand these concepts. We will also have a fun activity: pretending to walk in space.
 
Our goal this week is to enable our children to deepen their knowledge about the sun, moon, and stars.
 
Tips:

·  Talk to your child about the importance of the sun to the lives of people, animals, and plants

·  Also, take time to talk about the dangers that overexposure to the sun can cause.

·  Take a time at night, to look at the sky (if you have binoculars, will be great) with your child and find the stars and the moon.

Welcome to Daniel Kingston and Isaac Law to our Sapitos Classroom. We are very happy to have you join our group.

Friendly Reminders: 
· If your child has a helmet, please send it on Friday for our special activity: walking in space.
· If you would like to have a conference about your child’s assessment, please sign up in the sheet that is outside the classroom.
· If you would like to bring sunscreen (cream not spray) for your child, please make sure to check the expiration date, fill out the form, and bring it in a labeled Ziploc bag. Thank you.
· Remember that we have a closed-toe shoe policy to avoid safety hazards.
· To the parents of our new Sapitos: please, don’t forget to wash your child’s hands upon arrival to the classroom. Thank you for your cooperation.

Important Upcoming Dates:
June 5th: Report Cards will be sent home
June 8th – 12th: Red Shirt Swap
June 11th: Parents/Teacher conferences (If you would like to have a conference about your child’s development this last trimester, please sign up in the sheet that is outside the classroom.)
