Week of February 8th-12th

Sapitos Class
Ms. Silvia & Ms. Sugey
Week of February 08th. – February 12th.
“Como funcionan las cosas/ How Things Work”

Dear Sapitos Parents,
I hope you have had a good weekend. For this next week we will talk about how some musical instruments work. The children will make a guitar by using cereal box, suspenders, and rolls of paper. Also, we will talk about how the means of transportation work. In addition, we will promote friendship and love between them by making valentine’s cards, decorating hearts, and making puppets by using paper bags and construction paper.
For Valentine’s Day on Friday, children will make muffins and exchange cards with the group! This is a wonderful week full of creativity, fun, and friendship! Please sign up on the sheets that are available just outside of our classrooms if you want to bring anything for them to share. Don’t forget to choose peanut free snacks. Thanks for your support on this activity!
Special Events, Welcome and Birthdays (Eventos especiales, Bienvenidas y Estudiante de la Semana.)
Estela Delabruere’s birthday is February 14th; we will celebrate it at the class on Friday. She will turn four! Congratulations! Our best wishes for her!
Gideon's Birthday was February 1st. Happy Birthday Gideon!!! We hope you had a great Birthday.

Science Fair - February 22th-29th
Friendly Reminders:
Please encourage your child to be gentle and kind with other children. Modeling is a great way to reinforce what they know about kindness. Another great idea is to spend time with her/him by explaining that using names, pushing, hitting, and not sharing toys are things that children of over three years olds should not be doing anymore. We have worked on this situation for a while but some children continuing this type of behavior, which is unacceptable.
Please when you drop off your child take the time to do an appropriate transition. Muchas gracias!
Please bring extra clothes and a blanket for your child.
Please read your child’s journal every day, that way you can know what your child is learning during activities and you can support them at home.
Please no toys allowed unless the teacher authorizes so.
Have a great weekend!

Miss Silvia and Miss Sugey
